The Protexx service gives you a 5-year service on stain removal (read the terms and conditions). There are various cleaning products that can remove specific types of stains.

If you have a stain that cannot be removed with the products, call Oranje's stain service. They will assist you with advice and, if necessary, a professional cleaner will visit you. If you only have the standard anti-stain treatment with the sofa, and no Protexx service, you will therefore not be able to make a claim under the service if you cannot get a stain out.

Note: Protexx is not a cleaning subscription; it is a stain service. Accumulated stains and general soiling are not covered by the service.

No, you always do this immediately upon purchase and not over time. The Protexx service costs 19.95 euros per seat, the system automatically calculates this per model in the checkout.

Yes, every By SIDDE sofa is treated against stains in our factory Protexx. Protexx is a water-based liquid that protects the fabric against the most common types of stains. Due to the treatment, spilled liquid does not immediately soak into the core of the fabric fibre, making the stain easy to remove.

If a stain gets into the fabric, remove the solids as much as possible with a tablespoon. Never use a knife or anything else sharp. Dab spillages with a clean white cloth or tissue (beware: printed kitchen paper can give off). Then slightly moisten a white cotton cloth and place it on the stain. The dirt will migrate upwards into the cloth. Let the cloth dry. Then rinse the cloth and continue as long as the cloth still picks up colour from the spill. Repeat this process until the stain disappears. Most spills have a colour of their own so you can tell from the white cloth used whether there is still release of the spill. Use cold water for blood or fruit stains and hot water for other stains.

CAUTION: never scrub the stain! If you cannot remove the stain yourself and you have purchased a Protexx stain service, please contact Oranje Furniture Care's service centre within 3 working days. This can be done by telephone via T. 0031 (0)55 357 5411, or via www.oranjeservicecloud.com.
It is important that you take immediate action when the stain occurs and that you know what kind of stain it is. For old/unknown stains, the service does not apply.

Food, such as:
- Tomato sauce, gravy;
- Butter, milk and other oil-based stains;
- Peanut butter, chocolate, pasta, jam;
- Ketchup, mayonnaise, curry.

Human and mammalian excretions, such as:
- Skin fat;
- Vomit;
- Urine;
- Blood;
- Faeces;
- Perspiration.

Beverages, such as:
- Wine, beer and liquor;
- Coffee, tea, chocolate milk;
- Cola and fruit juice.

CAUTION: Dirt on the upholstered furniture caused by normal use, ink stains, candle wax and jeans stains are not covered by the service.

A stain should be reported within 3 working days of its occurrence; for further information, please see the Protexx certificate you received by e-mail from Oranje Furniture Care.

Through the company Oranje Furniture Care, it is possible to clean your furniture. If you are in possession of a Protexx certificate in the 5-year service period, the cleaning will cost €125.

A comprehensive deep cleaning without a Protexx Certificate for the Stain Service can also be requested from Oranje Furniture Care. Please note that the waiting time may be longer and the full rate will be charged.

PLEASE NOTE: Are you having the sofa cleaned by another company? Chemical cleaning or cleaning under high temperatures affects the Protexx protective layer. Orange Furniture Care cleans your sofa in such a way that the Protexx protection remains intact.

Yes, Protexx Textile Protector is PFAS free. Protexx is a water-based liquid with modified silicones that create a protective layer around the fabric fibre. This protective layer ensures that the liquid does not soak directly into the fabric fibre, making the stain easier to remove.

If you have purchased Protexx stain service with your sofa, you will receive the corresponding certificate by e-mail around the time of delivery. This certificate is sent by Oranje Furniture Care and is valid for 5 years.

No, it is not possible to extend the 5-year stain service period.
